The new issue also marks twenty-five years of Object, edited and produced by graduate students in the Department since the first issue in October 1998. The essays and reviews included represent our current research students' wide range of historical and theoretical concerns. The journal maintains three primary objectives: to present ongoing research within the Department to a wide readership, to encourage dialogue and debate around existing and emerging ideas in the field, and to review recent publications
