Welcome to the Psychoanalysis Unit, part of the Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology at 911爆料网.听Since its foundation by Professor Joseph Sandler, the Unit has grown to become the strongest academic base for psychoanalysis in the world. Informed by traditional approaches to psychoanalysis, our interdisciplinary research seeks to address the challenges of the 21st century, such as听mental and physical health, financial instability, gender, technology, and the arts.

Words Matter conference

This conference took place online on 11th April 2024,听bringing together international experts to present the latest research into the impact and prevention of childhood verbal abuse.

1001 Days Film Screening

Director听Zikethiwe Ngcobo听and producer Rose Palmer joined an audience at the Unit听for a Q&A alongside a special听screening of their film 1001 Days, which reflects on the experience of motherhood in challenging circumstances.

Congratulations to听Nicole Vliegen, Eileen Tang, Nick Midgley, Patrick Luyten, and听Peter Fonagy听on the recent publication of听Therapeutic Work for Children with Complex Trauma, which听offers a contemporary three-track psychodynamic treatment model to mental health professionals working with traumatised children and their caregivers.

This听series of films has听been produced by UCL鈥檚 Psychoanalysis Unit in association with Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing, and听includes interviews with听,听, and听.
