Gallaudet University President at Open Forum

On 21 May, President Robert Davila of Gallaudet University will come to UCL for an Open Forum hosted by the British Deaf Association.
Gallaudet University in the US is the world leader in educational programmes and career development for deaf and hard-of-hearing undergraduate students. The university also enjoys an international reputation for the outstanding graduate programs it provides for deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing students, as well as for the quality of the research it conducts on the history, language, culture, and other topics related to deaf people.
The event is being held to celebrate Adult Learners Week.Ìý This is a campaign on a national level to encourage adults to pursue further learning or skills that were either not learnt or encouraged when at school.Ìý People can learn while at work or during their leisure time.
