Students will engage in a 6-month research project on cutting-edge research topics centred on advanced materials and related technologies. It is an excellent chance for the students to demonstrate originality, critical thinking, project management and self-motivation. Progress will be monitored by on-going assessments in the form of informal discussions throughout the project. This module will be assessed by a written dissertation, an interim project progress presentation and viva, and a final oral (poster) presentation and viva voce examination.
