Description
All students enrolled on the MA English Education programme undertake an independent research project which either culminates in a dissertation (60 credits) consisting of a proposal (2,000 words) plus dissertation (17,000 words); or an investigative report (30 credits) consisting of a proposal (1500 words) plus report (8,000 words). Students are introduced to appropriate research methods, receive training in how to write a research proposal and are supported in carrying out empirical research in their chosen area of English practice, closely supervised by a member of the English Education tutor team. Students are encouraged to focus on aspects of English Education according to their own personal interests, strengths and experiences.
