Dr Laura Outhwaite speaks to Dr Jo Van Herwegen about how Jo's research intoÌýspecial educational needs draws on evidence fromÌýdevelopmental psychology, education and neuroscience.ÌýWe learn about theÌýÌýwhich isÌýtacklingÌýmyths about brain developmental disorders that educators can inadvertently endorse.
The pair have been working together to study mathematical developmentÌýwhich led to the creationÌýof the Maths@Home app, whichÌýsupports parents to make maths fun at home.
