Masters project title:
How N-terminal acetylation of alpha synuclein affects its structure and dynamics
Research interests:
The use of structural determination techniques such as, NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography to provide insights into the molecular mechanisms driving biological processes was my favourite area of the BSc Biochemistry course. For this reason, I decided to focus my third-year investigative project and fourth-year masters project on intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) and how NMR spectroscopy can be applied for the study of IDPs.
Brief CV:
2016 to present: MSci Biochemistry student at University College London
July to August 2019: Summer Student at the Department of Biological Chemistry, John Innes Centre, Norwich
