New BBSRC Grant awarded to Dr Johnathan Labbadia to investigate new targets promoting healthy ageing
2 September 2020
Congratulations to Dr John Labbadia on the receipt of his £400,000 BBSRC Responsive Mode Grant.
Dr Labbadia’s group will investigate the relationship between changes in the activity of protein quality control pathways and susceptibility to age-associated disease using the nematode worm Caenorhabditis elegans as a model system. The ultimate goal of the work is to provide new insight into the causes of age-associated tissue decline and reveal new targets to promote healthy human ageing.
