Dr Nici Zimmermann introduced System Dynamics modelling to over 550 seminar attendants
27 August 2021
Dr Nici Zimmermann, Associate Professor in System Dynamics, gave a seminar on the System Dynamics modelling process, using the example of love between Romeo and Juliet.
In the hands-on seminar, Dr Zimmermann led her audience step by step through the process of building their very first System Dynamics simulation model. Taking the example of tempestuous love relationships, modelling became a fun and engaging activity.
Participants were able to:
- Build their very first quantitative System Dynamics model
- Learn to use software for very basic quantitative modelling
- Familiarise themselves with the System Dynamics modelling process
- Learn how System Dynamics can be used for policy development.

I was pleased to see such a great interest in the seminar.ÌýIt was very interactive. People could ask or vote for questions throughout, many of which I answered live, plus, there was lively engagement in the chat that was moderated by partners. 91% of respondents said they achievedÌýa running model. That’s fantastic for such a big group in an online environment."“I was pleased to see such a great interest in the seminar. It was very interactive.
